A friend called me to tell me about a buffet she saw that had my name all over it. I was thrilled to have this Art Deco buffet to tackle.
She has great lines and details, just the type of piece I love to paint and glaze. But that’s not what I did … rather I embraced the Art Deco style.
I decided to channel my inner “Flapper” and go with a roaring 30’s nightclub feel with black semi-gloss, gold and red.
Although she’s not finished, she will look like this when completed.
The pulls for the cabinet doors still need to be painted. I can’t decide on which color … black, gold or red?
Above is a “before” photo of the cabinet door and below are the middle drawers.
Everything is original to the buffet, which is wonderful. I will post again when she is finished. This buffet is for sale. If not sold when done, she will be for sale at the Plaid Rabbit.
